The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has started releasing test items to assist Junior High School learners as they prepare to face the 2024 BECE.
NaCCA is publishing preparatory items for the Common Core Programme, CCP, as Junior High School learners prepare to face the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). These are comprehensive test items being developed and released in series exclusively on a dedicated assessment page hosted on the NaCCA official website.

This development, according to NaCCA, "aims to provide valuable insights into learners' learning and achievements while ensuring alignment with national educational standards." It is a move that will prove helpful in assisting both teachers and learners.
As teachers rely on the materials to study the trend of assessment across all subject areas, learners will also benefit by relying on the samples to figure out how to prepare.
It is expected that teachers and learners access these sample test items for their shared benefit as basic school learners prepare to face this year's BECE.
Currently, the initial assessment items provided are English Language, Mathematics, and Science. Items for the rest of the subjects will be uploaded progressively in the coming days according to an introductory statement on the NaCCA website.

It is worth mentioning that the keys (answers) to the questions are detached from the questions to assist learners to better try them on their own. These may come along with subsequent uploads in the days ahead, says NaCCA.
